Liepāja Hosts Interreg Cooperation Day 2025 at Latvia’s Biggest Youth Festival
On Saturday, 16 August 2025, the seaside city of Liepāja, Latvia, will be the place to celebrate Interreg Cooperation Day. Organised by the Latvia–Lithuania Programme, the Estonia–Latvia Programme, the Central Baltic Programme’s National Contact Point in Latvia, and the URBACT Contact Point in Latvia, the event will be part of Liepāja - Youth Capital of Latvia 2025, the country’s largest youth festival.
This year’s edition will be especially significant as Interreg programmes across Europe mark 35 years of cross-border cooperation, a milestone highlighting decades of connecting regions and supporting local development.
Visitors will find the Interreg Cooperation Day tent in Jūrmala Park, a space filled with interactive experiences designed to inspire, educate and entertain. Activities will include a city photo-orienteering game, an AI-powered photo booth with Interreg-themed characters, the Big Wheel of Fortune quiz, and a virtual reality experience showcasing the future Digital Youth Center in Liepāja.
With free entry and a festival atmosphere, it’s an open invitation to discover how cooperation shapes communities, meet people behind Interreg projects, and enjoy a summer day in one of Latvia’s most vibrant cities.
