Interreg Cooperation Day in Dolná Krupá

On Saturday, 27 September 2025, Interreg Slovakia–Czech Republic and Interreg Slovakia–Austria celebrated European Cooperation Day at the historic Dolná Krupá manor house, beautifully restored with support from the Interreg Slovakia–Austria programme. The event brought together three countries in a celebration of cross-border collaboration and regional development.

The highlight was the Project Fair, showcasing results from projects developed under both the 2021–2027 and 2014–2020 programming periods. Visitors could explore project outputs firsthand and interact directly with project partners, discovering how cooperation across borders creates new opportunities for communities.

A vibrant cultural programme accompanied the fair, with folklore ensembles and wind bands bringing the gardens to life. Interactive activities attracted audiences of all ages: children enjoyed sports competitions, face painting, and a bouncy castle, while adults participated in yoga lessons, jewellery workshops, and canvas painting. Visitors also had the chance to experience virtual reality.

Indoors, a panel discussion explored the theme “How does our cultural heritage and tourism come to life through cross-border cooperation?” Slovak, Czech, and Austrian project partners shared insights, highlighting the value of collaboration and inspiring ideas for future initiatives.

The event perfectly reflected the spirit of European territorial cooperation, showing how cross-border collaboration connects people, cultures, and communities in meaningful ways.

From folklore to virtual reality – all ages welcome!
